• About the inspection | What you get

    Plan on spending about 1.5 hours with me at the end of the inspection.

    You and I will walk through and around the house wall to wall. I will tell you how the house works, I will tell you how to maintain the house and grounds, and I will point out and discuss my findings with you. I will tell you how they could affect the performance of the house or the safety of your family, and what you can do about it.

    At the end of the 1.5 hour walkthrough, you will know what condition the major systems of the house are in, everything will be crystal clear in your mind, and you will know exactly what your next steps should be.

    I will email you the written report in a PDF file late the same evening. It will be the most detailed, most thorough report you have read, with numerous color photos annotated to pinpoint and describe defect examples.

    Our relationship does not end with the inspection.

    For long as you live in the house, and included in my fee, I will advise you on anything that has to do with it. I will hold your hand, walk you through any issue that comes up, and tell you what I would do if I was in your shoes.

    Ask every inspector you interview if they offer you the above.

    Ask every inspector you interview to email you an inspection report they wrote for somebody else, for a similar age and foundation type house as the one you want to buy.

    I am confident that after you read one of my reports, and then a report by anybody else, it will become instantly crystal clear to you who you want to hire.

    There is nothing like a sample of someone's work to show you the level of detail you can expect. You will be amazed and shocked at the difference between inspectors.
